Our Story
From father to son, from rug to wardrobe.
For more than 20 years, Simo and his father have lived among handmade rugs. They’ve traveled to meet the weavers, run their hands over thousands of pieces, and learned to recognize the story hidden in every knot, color and pattern.
They know that a handwoven rug is never just a rug. It holds weeks of patient work, a family’s memory and a tradition passed from generation to generation. Too often, these beautiful pieces are forgotten, worn out or thrown away.
So father and son asked themselves a simple question: what if these treasures could be worn?
That’s how Talsint Art was born.
What we make
We combine two crafts we love: soft natural leather and authentic handwoven rugs. Each piece is cut, stitched and finished by hand by skilled artisans, using techniques that have been perfected over generations.
Because every rug is unique, no two Talsint Art pieces are ever the same. When you wear one, you’re wearing something nobody else in the world has.
What we believe
- Craft over mass production. We make fewer pieces, and we make them well.
- Respect for tradition. Every pattern carries the heritage of the women and men who wove it.
- A second life for beautiful things. We give vintage rugs a new purpose instead of letting them disappear.
- Quality that lasts. Natural leather gets better with age, softening and developing a rich patina over the years.
Our promise to you
Twenty years of experience means we know quality when we see it. We personally select every rug and every hide that goes into our work. If it isn’t good enough for our own family, it isn’t good enough for yours.
Thank you for supporting handmade craftsmanship and the artisans behind it.
